Designated Funds
Many donors establish designated funds at the ACCF as a means of endowing an organization with whom they have been involved during their lifetimes. If a named organization goes out of business or changes the purpose of its activities, the ACCF will ensure that the donor's charitable goals are continued. Designated funds are established to ensure that support will be provided to specific and eligible nonprofit organizations.
Why Establish a Designated Fund?
- A donor can support in perpetuity an organization or several organizations that he or she has cared about most over the years
- If any of the designated organizations go out of business, the ACCF will ensure that funds are redirected to support other organizations with interests similar to those initially established by the donor.
- If the organization changes its purpose, the Foundation will ensure that the fund disbursement remains consistent with the donor's initial charitable intentions.
