Field of Interest Funds
A field of interest fund at the Ashland County Community Foundation allows the donor to choose a specific area of concern as the target recipient for donated funds.
For example, if the donor has a particular desire to support children's organizations, the funding will be directed to that area. The Foundation's Board of Trustees will direct grant moneys to the most appropriate organizations within the donor's chosen field of interest.
Why Start a Field of Interest Fund?
- The donor can target a significant contribution for a specific area meaningful to the donor; for example, support for the elderly, children, health care, or education.
- The donor will make a long-lasting impact on that part of the community by leaving specific grantmaking decisions to future ACCF committees.
- The donor will leave a lasting legacy in his, her, or a loved one's name.
